He was born and raised in Wellwood city and has been the quiet, timid kid for all his life. As he got older he broke out of his shell somewhat and started to talk to people, including a girl named Fate Gadly.
Fate and Daniel's relationship grew as the years went by and they became extremely close, and though Daniel loved Fate very much, it was in a brother-sister way.
Daniel's quiet existance was suddenly shattered to bits one misty autumn morning when he walked downstairs and found the bedraggled and bloody remains of both his parents. But strangely, he didn't cry. But he did feel in an out-of-body way something inside him harden, and he resolved to find whoever or whatever killed them.
As his life went on, Daniel became more and more outlandish in physical appearance, his once-black hair going a startling shade of dark chocolate, and his deep gray eyes turning to a hazel brown. His skin became paler until it was white as ice and shimmered slightly, emitting a faint glow.
Soon, however, his life would take another sharp turn as, just as the Shadows appeared in Wellwood, his best friend (Fate) became the first Wolf-child, and he himself became the fisrt Soul.

I've been roleplaying since I was 10, so I have quite a bit of experience.,
Fate/Damian is an awesome friend of mine,
Miles MacKenzie,
Daniel rushed through the darkened oak forest, dappled spots of emerald sunlight streaming through the leafy canopy of vines and branches. Daniel payed no attention for these things. He was in pursuit.
Suddenly a dark form erupted from the branches above him and to his right, and a slim, pale girl with bright blonde hair touched the ground lightly, her feet hitting the earth and digging up the ground behind her like a star trackster.
"Which way did it go?" He called out to the girl, his partner, who happened to be known as Fate Gadly.
"Just keep going straight!" She said back to him, her warm voice thick with adrenaline. Daniel nodded.
"Sharp right!" She said after a few minutes, or possibly a couple of hours, or maybe several sunlit days. Time was impossible to tell in these piney woods.
Daniel immediately veered offcourse and suddenly a large man came into view in a clearing, sleeping with his eyes closed in a camping bag. He got up and rubbed his eyes. The first thing he would have seen was Daniel standing in front of him, and he would have felt Fate's iron-hard grip holding him down.
"Who are you?!" The man snarled, his voice emanating pure rage.
"None of your concern, Shadow. I know you'll thank me in a few seconds, however." Daniel said coolly.
Daniel put his forefinger on the man's forehead, before putting his middle finger and then his entire palm on it. He seemed to glow for a few moments, his expression one of mild pain and great concentration, before slumping onto the forest floor, panting; the man, after a few seconds, looked at Daniel with not hatred and contempt, but pure bliss and gratitude.
"Thank you so much..." the man whispered quietly, his voice cracking as a tear fell down onto his cheek.
Daniel looked up, his face weary and tired, with bags and dark circles under his eyes. He smiled kindly.
"Of course." He said simply, standing up with some difficulty and motioning for Fate to let go of the man.,
